On 22 July 2022, Ambassador Mr. Béla Fazekas met with the newly appointed Head of the Pakistani Board of Investment (BOI). The parties discussed the preparation of the next round of the Hungarian-Pakistani Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) to be held in Budapest as well as the possibilities of further expansion of the economic cooperation.
The Hungarian Head of Mission said that in addition to balanced bilateral political relations, it was also important for companies to know that their investments were in safe and the legal background of the contracts met with international expectations. These conditions are created by signing a BIT.
