On 28 March 2019, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó received the Global Ambassador Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution for the promotion of cooperation between Hungary and Pakistan. The award was established by The Diplomatic Insight magazine in 2014, and it has been conferred annually among Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations serving in Pakistan.
The Hungarian Ambassador proudly accepted the award. He emphasized that this was a great honour for him and it made him even more motivated to work for the benefit of Hungary and Pakistan as well as the people of the two countries.
