On 16 March 2021, Ambassador Mr. Béla Fazekas was received by Mr. Mohammad Sarwar, Governor of the Pakistani Punjab Province. The Head of Mission informed the Governor about the start of the restoration of the August Schoefft (1809-1888) paintings in the Lahore Fort and introduced the four Hungarian experts, who will stay in Lahore during the three months long work period. The Ambassador expressed his hope that as a result of the project supported by 55 million HUF sponsorship, the iconic pieces of the historical heritage of Pakistan, will soon be presented in their original splendid grandeur to the general public of Pakistan as well as to foreign tourists visiting the country.  

Mr. Mohammad Sarwar praised the cultural significance of the 19th century paintings and assured the Ambassador about his support in organizing a large-scale exhibition The Governor said that he would provide all assistance to the project and the Hungarian restorers to be successful.
