On 23 September 2023, the Pakistan-Hungary Alumni Network held its first meeting. In his address delivered on the occasion, Ambassador Béla Fazekas emphasized that the event is another milestone in the development of relations between the two countries. He highlighted that every year more and more foreign students choose Hungary for their studies and currently there are about 40 thousand foreign students in Hungary from 100 countries. The Ambassador said that the idea behind setting up the alumni network was to provide a forum for former students to share their best practices and experiences, to help the Alumni in further maintaining their ties with Hungary and also to support future Pakistani students through a mentoring system.
