On 9 December 2022, one year after the unforgettable August Schoefft exhibition in the Lahore Fort, the Hungarian Embassy was back with its new project in the cultural capital of Pakistan.

The Embassy organized a photo exhibition of the Islamic architectural heritage from the 16-17th century Ottoman period of Hungary. The event took place at the Grand Hall of the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab, which was founded in 1882 by the Hungarian-born professor Dr. Wilhelm Leitner.

In his opening remarks Ambassador Mr. Béla Fazekas Ambassador told that rich Ottoman Islamic architectural heritage of Hungary is represented by well preserved and renovated mosques, minarets, tombs and baths, which are the northernmost examples of Ottoman architecture in a non-Muslim European cultural environment.
