On 13 July 2020. Ambassador Mr. István Szabó and Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, Secretary Water Resources signed the Water Cooperation Agreement between Hungary and Pakistan. The parties agreed that it is an important milestone in bilateral water cooperation, which will facilitate partnerships between Hungarian and Pakistani public or private companies.
The comprehensive agreement covers the areas of integrated water management, wastewater management, education and research and development, which allows extensive cooperation.
After the signing ceremony, the Hungarian Ambassador and Mr. Muhammad Faisal Vawda, Federal Minister for Water Resources discussed the opportunities for water cooperation between the two countries.
