On 11 June 2019, Hungarian Mountaineers Mr. Dávid Klein and Mr. Szilárd Suhajda were guests of the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad. The visit took place before the Hungarian team set off from the Pakistani capital to conquer the 8611meter high K2, one of the most dangerous peaks of the Himalayas.

Hungarian climbers said they planned to conquer the peak without the use of supplementary oxygen tanks and load carriers, and they want to reach it at the end of July or early August following acclimatization and preparatory climbing.

The Embassy wishes best of luck and perseverance to the two Hungarian mountaineers to conquer the world's second and Pakistan's highest point!
