On 13 October 2020, H.E. Mr. Béla Fazekas, Ambassador of Hungary in Islamabad solemnly presented his Letter of Credentials to Dr. Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Tivadar Takács and Lt. Col. Mr. Gábor Oravecz, Defence, Military & Air Attaché at the event, which took place at the presidential palace (Aiwan-e-Sadr).

During the personal conversation with the President of Pakistan, Mr. Béla Fazekas conveyed the greetings of the Hungarian President of Republic Mr. János Áder, and informed the Head of State about the current state of the most important bilateral issues, with special emphasis on the field of economic cooperation.

Dr. Arif Alvi thanked the Hungarian Government for the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship offered to 200 young Pakistanis each year, and appreciated that Hungarian MOL Group’s Pakistani subsidiary (MOL Pakistan) has been present in the country for 20 years and is constantly increasing its investments in Pakistan.
