On 28 March, 2018, Mr. Shahid Khaqqan Abbasi, Prime Minister of Pakistan and Mr. Berislav Gašo, Executive Vice President - Upstream of MOL Group ceremoniously inaugurated the new gas plant of Mol Pakistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The new factory was built within one year, which counts as a record time. Ambassador István Szabó also attended the ceremony.
The event started with both countries’ national anthems and a slide show featuring the tourist attractions of Hungary. In his speech, Prime Minister Abbasi praised the MOL's Pakistani operations, which can be regarded as a success story. He thanked MOL for its efforts and perseverance, and promised further government help to the company.
Mr. Berislav Gašo emphasized that the MOL could do even more and it plans to involve more areas in order to increase the company’s production results. He hoped that the MOL will receive the necessary government support to reach its goals.
