On 6 December, 2016, Pakistani Minister of Oil Production handed over the new gas plant of MOL Pakistan at its central site in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The MOL leadership was represented by Mr. Berislav Gašo, Managing Director - Upstream of MOL Group. The ceremony was attended by the leaders of the partner companies of MOL Pakistan, the Minister of State of the Ministry of Oil Production and Mr. István Szabó Hungarian Ambassador in Islamabad.

I his speech after the inauguration, the Pakistani Minister expressed his appreciation for the activities and investments of MOL Pakistan, which are paramount importance for the development of the Pakistani economy in the essential energy sector.

Ambassador István Szabó said that the exemplary two decades long operation of MOL Pakistan was a proof, which showed that the foreign companies could be successful in Pakistan. He highlighted that the MOL Pakistan had invested 2,5 billion USD and created 600 workplaces in the country so far.
