Hungarian Ambassador Mr. István Szabó along with Dr. István Grafjódi Commercial Counsellor met with Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Head of the Pakistani Ministry of Commerce.

During the meeting, they have discussed the negotiated topics of the Hungarian-Pakistani Joint Economic Commission (JEC), which took place in Budapest on 12-13 September. The parties agreed that the opening session provides a solid basis to strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries, especially on the field of agriculture, which gives approx. the 20% of the Pakistani GDP and also provides export possibilities for the country.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. István Szabó and Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood agreed that the Embassy and the Ministry remain in close cooperation in order to the effective implementation of the tasks of the JEC and enhance the commercial ties.
