On 6 February 2019, Ambassador István Szabó met with the delegation of the Laurel Ltd., which was led by CEO Mr. István Bessenyei. The representatives of the company had negotiations in Islamabad and Lahore.

Between 12-13 December, 2018, the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad participated at the International Student Convention and Expo, which was organized in the Pakistan-China Friendship Centre.
On 30 November, 2018, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó opened a painting exhibition called „The Temporary Facade” at the Satrang Galleriy in Hotel Serena Islamabad.
Ambassador István Szabó met with Mr. Omar Mahmood Hayat, President of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). During the meeting, the parties presented the scope of duties of the two country’s disaster management authority.
On the initiative and with the assistance of the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad, the Architects Regional Council of Asia (ARCASIA) and the Visegrad Four Architectural Foundation (V4AF) contacted each other in 2017.
On 20 October, 2018, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó and Mr. Michel Galopin, General Manager of the Serena Hotel in Islamabad, held a press conference on the occasion of the opening of the three-day long „HunGastro” Hungarian culinary art festival.
On 19 October, 2018, the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad held a national day reception. Besides of commemorating the Revolution and the Freedom Fight of 1956, the topic of the event was the Hungarian culinary art.
