Szilard SUHAJDA succeeded the Hungarian K2 Expedition last week by reaching the second highest peak in the world, the 8611 meters high K2.
On 2 August 2019, the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad in cooperation with Serena Hotel organized a Press Conference on the success of the Hungarian K2 Expedition, which was led by Dávid Klein and Szilárd Suhajda mountaineers.
As the first Hungarian mountaineer, Mr. Szilárd Suhajda has reached the 8611 meters high peak of the Pakistani K2, which is the second highest point of the world.
On 16 July 2019, Ambassador István Szabó gave a speech about the political development of the years 1989-90, the fall of communist regimes and the changes in Hungary at the meeting of the Hungarian-Pakistani Friendship Association.

On 27 May 2019, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó met with Additional Secretary Mr. Ameer Khurram Rathore in order to discuss the most important common matters and projects.
The Hungarian-Pakistani Friendship Association (PHFA) organized a dinner to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its foundation. The PHFA invited the Hungarian members of the Embassy, the CEO of the MOL Pakistan (local subsidiary of the Hungarian MOL company) and the representatives of the Pakistani Alumni, who graduated in Hungary.
On 11 May 2019, Imre Kálmán’s popular operetta titled „The Csárdás Princess” was screened at the Hungarian Ambassador's residence in Islamabad. Several Ambassadors and the representatives of the Pakistani business and cultural life were invited to the event.
