On 22 February 2019, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó met with Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce, Textile, Industries and Production and Investment. Dr. István Grafjódi Commercial Counsellor also attended the meeting.
The Hungarian Ambassador informed the Prime Minister’s Adviser that the parties had agreed about the date of the opening session of the Hungarian-Pakistani Joint Economic Commission, which will be held in September in Budapest. Mr. István Szabó underlined that Hungary intends to organize a meaningful meeting, therefore the Embassy wants to start its preparation as soon as possible. He also signalled that our country is ready to support Pakistan's goals in the field of agriculture, where Hungary has advanced technology and the results of the research are outstanding.
The Prime Minister's Adviser said that he would examine the Hungarian offer, having regard to one of the main aim of Pakistani agriculture, which is to produce exportable products.
