On 21-22 February 2023, Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited Hungary, where he held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and participated in a panel discussion at the Annual Conference of the Hungarian Ambassadors. Bhutto also met with prominent CEOs of Hungarian companies with market presence in Pakistan.
During the visit, the parties signed the a Cooperation Agreement between the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy and the Pakistani Foreign Service Academy, the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Sports and Sports Education, and the MoU the on Cooperation within the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme. This was the first ever visit of a Pakistani Foreign Minister to Hungary in the history of the relations between the two countries.
