Mr. István Szabó Hungarian ambassador in Islamabad met with the delegation of the Hungarian Silvanus Forestry Ltd., which was led by CEO Mr. Jenő Németh during the company’s visit in Pakistan between 25-28 September, 2018.

The CEO told that they had hold talks with Mr. Malik Amin Aslam, Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change on 25 September, and presented him forestry techniques for low rain fall countries like Pakistan. Mr. Jenő Németh also said that his company was now establishing a high tech laboratory at Balkasar in Pakistan, where they would be testing the local possibilities of fast growing tree species’ planting.

Ambassador István Szabó said that combating the climate change is among the priorities of the new Pakistani government, and the Cabinet is planning the plantation of 10 billion trees within a 5 years period. He assured the leadership of the Hungarian company, that the Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad would support the implementation of their plans in Pakistan.
