On 21 April 2019, the Paper Miracles social enterprise - in cooperation with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute - organized an event to raise awareness of the plastic pollution. The occasion was held to commemorate World Earth Day 2019.
To demonstrate the importance of preserving the cleanliness of the environment, products (bags, wallets, etc.) made of recycled plastic waste were showcased with the assistance of the representatives of the international community in Islamabad. The items were made by the paraplegic women (injured in the 2005 earthquake) from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Besides the Pakistani visitors, the diplomatic community, the international organizations and the representatives of the local media, the event was attended by Ambassador István Szabó and his wife Emília Szabó as well. They presented recycled products decorated with Hungarian national colours.
