Besides this, Pakistan gives utmost importance to the development of economic and trade cooperation, for which the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL's subsidiary (MOL Pakistan) can set a good example for other Hungarian firms and investors.

Mr. István Szabó told that the Embassy was making continuous efforts to strengthen economic relations. This is well reflected in the fact that the first meeting of the Hungarian-Pakistani Economic Joint Commission (JEC) took place in Budapest on 12-13 September 2019, and the tasks of the JEC Protocol are currently being implemented.

The Hungarian Ambassador emphasized that in addition to strengthening economic ties, the Embassy also pays special attention to cultural and sports diplomacy. Furthermore, on the field of education and scientific Mr. István Szabó drew the Chairman’s attention to the 200 Stipendium Hungaricum state scholarships offered to Pakistan yearly. This program well shows that Hungary plans to build long-term relations with Pakistan.
