On 29 September 2019, the European Union Delegation to Pakistan and the World Wildlife Fund in Pakistan jointly organized the Climate Diplomacy Day in Islamabad. The aim of the event was to highlight the adverse impacts of climate change and seek possible actions to curb its effects.
The Embassy of Hungary in Islamabad also gives utmost importance to the fight against the climate change, therefore the staff of the Embassy also attended the event this year as well to demonstrate their support.
Ambassador Mr. István Szabó and his wife Mrs. Emília Szabó were among those cyclists, who bicycled around in Islamabad to raise awareness about the need to curtail the growth of greenhouse emissions by promoting eco-friendly modes of transportation.
