On 24 September 2019, „Say No to Plastic Waste” consortium was launched at the Islamabad Marriott Hotel in collaboration with the Miracles Trust. The consortium’s vision is a plastic-waste free Pakistan, and a series of steps were announced to achieve this goal. State Minister of Climate Change Zartaj Gul and Malik Amin Aslam, Adviser to Prime Minister for Climate Change were the chief guests on the occasion.

Besides the high ranked representatives of the international community in Islamabad, Ambassador István Szabó and other members of the Hungarian Embassy also participated at the event, where Mrs. Emília Szabó introduced the recycled plastic products with the assistance of the Hungarian Embassy’s colleagues.

Mrs. Emília Szabó highlighted that the Hungarian Embassy is the first representation, which has placed an order for these plastic products. She also thanked the MOL Pakistan’s support to the initiative, as the company will distribute 600 re-used plastic bags to its employees setting a great example for other companies as well.
