On 21 March 2019, Ambassador István Szabó had a discussion with Mr. Aamer Mehmood Kiani, Federal Minister for National Health Services in his office.

The Ambassador drew the Federal Minister’s attention to bilateral Joint Economic Commission, which opening session will be held in Budapest in September 2019. He underlined that we consider it important to include health cooperation among the topics of the meeting. Furthermore, Mr. István Szabó informed his partner about the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme, in which yearly 200 Pakistani students can continue their studies at Hungarian universities and there are medical courses as well.

Mr. Aamer Mehmood Kiani said that improving the country's health infrastructure is a priority of the Pakistani government, and they also want to increase of the export volume of the health sector. In regard to the state scholarship programme the Federal Minister stressed that training of hospital nurses would be a great help for his country.
