On 27 September 2019, the Pakistani-Hungarian Friendship Association (PHFA) organized an event, where the Hungarian Embassy gave a presentation on the Hungarian automotive industry and the Zalaegerszeg Automotive Test Track (ZalaZone).

After the opening speech of Ambassador Mr. István Szabó, Mr. Tivadar Takács, Deputy Head of Mission gave a lecture about the successes of the Hungarian automotive industry and the Hungarian economic policy, which increasingly focuses on investments with higher added value and digitalization.

Due to this forward-looking process, in May 2019 the Hungarian Government decided to implement the ZalaZone investment project with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of the domestic R&D capacity in the automotive industry as well as creating a leading position in the test and research of the autonomous or electric vehicles (https://zalazone.hu/en/).

The members of the PHFA, local businessmen and Pakistani graduates from Hungarian universities received an invitation to the event, which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad.
