On 26 June 2020, Ambassador Mr. István Szabó awarded Mr. Ahsan-ul Haq Khan, the President of the Pakistani-Hungarian Friendship Association with a Hungarian state award, as a recognition for his efforts, perseverance and work for building bilateral relations between the two countries.
In his speech, Mr. Khan thanked the award and stressed that he was deeply committed to building the relationship between Hungary Pakistan, and he would like to continue his work with full devotion in the future.
The events of the PMBT have deservedly become well-known in Islamabad, due to the monthly organized occasions, like lectures, literary and artistic events, screenings, etc. In the last few years, in addition to the members of the PMBT, other invited guests and diplomats have also attended the colourful and interesting gatherings.
